Accessibility Statement
Accessibility matters to us. Here's how we're working to keep our website open and welcoming to everyone, including visitors with disabilities.
We want every visitor regardless of ability or the technology they use to be able to find prayer times, read our announcements, learn about our community, and reach us easily. We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task, and we review and improve our website as we are able.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, an internationally recognized standard for digital accessibility.
This website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that while most of the site meets the standard, some content does not yet fully conform. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.
Measures we take
To support accessibility, we have taken steps that include:
- Ensuring text and background colours meet minimum contrast requirements for readability.
- Structuring pages with meaningful, correctly ordered headings so they can be navigated with assistive technology.
- Providing text alternatives for meaningful images, and hiding purely decorative graphics from screen readers.
- Making interactive content usable by keyboard, including a pause control for the announcements carousel and respect for the “reduce motion” setting on visitors’ devices.
- Identifying Arabic-language content, such as Qur’an and Hadith text, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Working to ensure form fields have clear, associated labels.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the site may present difficulties for certain users:
- Third-party Google reviews. Our community reviews are displayed through a third-party service whose content we do not fully control; some of its elements may not be fully accessible. Where possible, we present the same information as plain text.
- Some embedded and third-party components. Certain built-in website and form components may not yet meet every accessibility requirement. We monitor these and address issues as our platform allows.
If any of these limitations prevents you from accessing information you need, please contact us using the details below and we will provide the information in another format or assist you directly.
